Valencano – that means growing olives trees on three hectares of land, producing organic extra virgin olive oil and giving people the opportunity to spend their holidays in this beautiful nature with almost always ideal weather in summer or to help harvesting in autumn.
Holidays – surrounded by olive trees and a quiet retreat in the hinterland of the Adriatic Sea, but only a few kilometers from the sea. If you are looking for a retreat far away from the hustle and bustle, traffic and noise, you will find it in Valencano.
Nevertheless, popular places such as Rovinj, which is fantastically situated on a peninsula, and Pula, which looks like ancient Roman times, can be reached in just 30 minutes by car. The small town of Bale – a gem from Roman and Venetian times – is as the beach only 4 kilometers away.
A self-sufficient supply of solar power and storage battery (the emergency power generator is only used in real emergencies or very long periods of bad weather), well water as well as hot water and heat from our own resources, organic olive cultivation and a wild nature in the immediate vicinity with typical local macchia makes Villa Valencano a real eco villa. Of course, our waste disposal has waste separation and is connected to the public waste disposal system.
We knew the varied coastal landscape and wild nature of Istria with its olive trees and good vineyards from sailing trips and other vacations and it magically attracts us. In search of a new center of life after many years of employment, it was like a gift that we were given the opportunity to acquire in this region Valencano in 2022.
